1. The service

5Qs is a free daily mystery puzzle game accessible at play5qs.com. Each day, a new puzzle is published. Players ask up to a limited number of questions to a constrained AI character and submit guesses for hidden answers. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility

5Qs is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 13, please do not use the service. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the service only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

3. Acceptable use

When using 5Qs you agree not to:

• Attempt to scrape, mass-download, or otherwise extract puzzle data, hidden answers, voice rules, or solution summaries.
• Submit content through the feedback form that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, or contains personal information about other people without their consent.
• Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to interact with puzzles or the underlying APIs.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, abuse the referral or Inner Circle program, or impersonate another player.
• Probe, scan, or test the security of the service except as permitted by responsible disclosure (contact us first).

4. Intellectual property

All puzzles, scenarios, voices, voice rules, hidden answers, solution summaries, written content, branding, and code are the property of the operator of 5Qs unless otherwise noted. You may share your individual scores and the scenario text of any published puzzle for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce the puzzle library, the hidden-answer set, or any other substantial portion of the site content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

5. User-submitted content

When you submit feedback, puzzle ideas, or other content through the in-game feedback form, you grant 5Qs a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, adapt, and incorporate that content into the service. We do not claim ownership of the underlying ideas you submit; you simply give us permission to use them.

6. Accounts and authentication

5Qs does not require an account to play. Optional sign-in via email magic link is offered for cross-device stat sync, the Inner Circle referral program, and related features. You are responsible for safeguarding access to the email address linked to your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, or non-infringement. Daily puzzles may be delayed, withdrawn, or revised. AI-generated voice responses may be inaccurate or unexpected.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 5Qs and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim related to the service shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100).

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. You may stop using the service at any time.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms periodically. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of operation of the service operator, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
